Product investment

Posted By Eric Wisner

I am not sure this is appropriate , but I have a product idea that I have taken to a product development consulting organization(Universal Consulting -based in New Orleans). It scored extremely well with the exception that it is for a limited market. It is in the industry I worked for at the time I came up with the idea and I am sure nothing exists along the lines of this idea.
Where would be a good place to go to look for an investor? I am sure it would meet it's potential , but can't afford the cost of the marketing package (around $6,000 last I checked)to get this ball rolling.

Physics question.

Posted By Eric Wisner

This is an ongoing debate on another forum , I figured I'd bring it to a more intellectual crowd to see what the result here was.

If you put an airplane on a conveyor system that was able to equal it's speed in the opposite direction as it atttempted to take off , would it be able to take off and why?

EDIT: The conveyor ,for this purpose, will automatically move against any forward motion of the plane , therefore ,the plane will never move forward.

Need advice on good college fund investments

Posted By Eric Wisner

I'm not currently up to speed , but a few years ago a bond was implemented(I believe it was an "E") that allowed max deduction tax free , automatic continuing purchase with dividends and no tax applied for any funds used for an accredited college. It is federal , so it is applicable to all states.

Allow HOTMAIL and YAHOO on AstroMart

Posted By Eric Wisner

I voted no but ,on consideration, would accept g-mail for several reasons.
First , you must have an invite to get a g-mail account. This creates a trail to the owner.
Secondly , g-mail is configured so that it is virtually impossible for it to propogate viruses and Trojans in mass.
There is a valid reason why large forums , especially trading forums, forbid Yahoo , AOL and other free accounts.
I personally try to avoid interaction with free email accounts unless I know the people specifically. Most of the free accounts I recieve from are SPAM ,and to many contain tracking or other nefarious scripts. I also use an account just for that purpose and would never trade with them unless I can verify their ID and location first. I have asked several people(on another forum) to call me so I had a number on caller ID that I could trace. It saved me in a Paypal dispute once for sure.
