I've seen green and pink in a 14" a number of times, although others observing the same nights claimed they couldn't. I've not seen color in the other scopes I use a lot (6" MK67 and 80mm AT1010). I'll look again tonight, which is shaping up to be very clear.

The drive controller is bad in our (the college where I work) mount. Celestron does not carry parts. Everything seems to be fine except the controller will not operate the motors. Does anyone know of a source for parts or for a generic controller that will work? This flaw was revealed as the observatory was being restored to service after Hurricane Katrina. The college campus on which the observatory sits suffered about $50 million in damage from the storm.
