Hi All,

looking for one of those LED Light pen's . Usefully for
writing in the dark. Appears Orion and a few others sell'em.
Noticed a few other internet sources also. Anyone ever run
into one of those at your local non-astronomy related store?? They're not that expensive, but shippin,etc, will tend to cost more than the pens.

Hi Ivan,

I use my strip directly "on" the corrector ring.. Since my
dew shield foam ring must sit behind, and nudged up next to
the corrector ring...

Are you just talking about the OTA??? Or the Whole package.

If I had to do it all over again.. I would be really tempted
to get the NexStar 11GPS ... Back when I got my C9.25 on a
Losmandy G-11 mount, this choice was not available...

I have very limited binoviewer experience so cannot comment on which one would "work" better. I would think since you are "splitting" the available light via the binoviewer, the larger C11 would give a brighter image.


Rod of SCT fame speaks highly of the Nexstar C11.

A bit late on this post but...

I've taken VHF transcievers for 6 meters and
Amateur Satellites via tripod held Arrow Antennas.
DC to light handhelds to monitor Weather broadcasts.

The Sats bring in interest from the rest of the star party goers since they tend to observe satellite passes especially Iridium sats.
