Eyepiece projection factor - Baader Hyperion Eyepi

Posted By Gerry Doyle

Hi there - I want to use a Baader Hyperion eyepiece for planetary imaging with a webcam, using the Baader T2 system to mount the webcam on extension tubes. I'm happy enough with the math for working out what projection factor I would get, if only I could work out the projection distance - which I'm guessing needs to be measured from the eyepiece field stop. Does anyone know if my guess is correct, and if so, where the field stop is with respect to the top element of the eyepiece? If I already had the eyepiece, I could work it all out by imaging a target of known size and working back from there, but I haven't bought the eyepiece yet and want to choose a fl that will give me a practical range of projection factors. Thanks

Gerry

Registering a Camera with Lucam Recorder

Posted By Gerry Doyle

Hi there - has anyone on the forum had any correspondence recently from Heiko Wilkens? I've used Lucam Recorder for a while now, but having bought a second-hand Skynyx camera I need to do two things:

I need to 'de-register' an existing camera from the two I currently have listed, and...

I need a new licence code for my new camera. Sounds easy, but...

I can't find any direction for de-registering a camera and

I believe Adirondack Video Astronomy is no more... (web link still on the Lucam Recorder page, but doesn't seem to go anywhere)

and I can't get any response from the email link for requesting a licence (heiko at astrofactum dot de)

Does anyone know anything to help? Thanks Gerry

Got my licence key from Heiko - he's having email issues and apologises for delays.
