Murtha recently commented that he was not inclined to give much weight to the opinion of our esteemed Vice President. The representative from Pennsylvania commented that Vice President Richard Cheney (a great American, a Patriot, and former CEO of Haliberon) received five (that's 5) deferments from his draft board during the Viet Nam Conflict.

Has anyone else heard that? It just wouldn't be fair to let Murtha get away with suggesting that wonderful, warm, fuzzy, kindly, torture favoring, Vice President was somehow, shirking his duty - letting the "other guy" die, suffer or be horribly disfigured in his place.

We have to set the record straight! Ok, Guys, tell me it isn't so...tell me that Dick Cheney isn't a lowlife, cheater...I want to hear that he proudly offered himself for his country, wore the uniform, went on the mission, completed the mission, was part of a millitary family (are there any other Republican catch phrases for those who have been conned into serving in Iraq?)...oh, yeah, bring on the excuses!

I noticed that they did not disappear after the 2000 election and they were merely replaced with W 2004 stickers....lately, they're as scarce as well, W stickers....you think that some folks are embarrassed that they voted for that weasel?

Consistent with my new right wing conversation, I believe that it's important to support the saints of the right wing. Today, the Blessed St. Governator denied clemency for a murdering gang leader. The Gov felt that the dead man walking hadn't sufficiently rehabilitated himself and because killing is bad, he decided to allow the State of California to kill the guy.

It's important for us right wing guys to support the Governator, so, let's get some Cubans, light them up and celebrate with the Gov for the offing of someone who'll not "be right back"

Just heard on CNN that a single mother of a thirteen year old boy was called up for duty in Iraq. Seems that mom is in the ready reserve - it's my understanding that ready reserve is a "last resort" call up.

She's appealing the call up because she needs to arrange to place her son while she's out protecting us from all those terrorists.

I think that us right wing guys should support this brave mom, so, who's going to offer to take in the son? While your thinking about that, are there any offers to adopt unwanted children who are about to be aborted?

Well, I'm waiting....who's going to put their lifestyle and fortune on the line...money where your mouth is....

...oh, you're too busy partying with the Bush Twins in DC...oh, that's ok then....

In their apparently endless search for the right message, the president will be appearing this evening to continue his campaign to support the war effort. Simultaneously, Vice President Richard Cheney has traveled to Iraq for what I believe is yet another photo op.

It seems that the leaders of our country appear to be more concerned with appearances or form, as opposed to substance. That is, this country needs to establish an honest to goodness real cooperating relationship with either or all of the former Soviet Union (and assorted former bloc countries in Asia), "old Europe," Iran, the various Arab speaking countries, African countries and Israel to assist the development of whatever is the choice of the Iraqi people regarding their form and type of government. This “coalition of the willing” talk is just that – if our government really wants a legitimate outcome recognized by the world in Iraq, they’d better get some world involvement. (the elder Bush knew this and even had the world pay for the first Gulf war).

We really don't need to hear the President struggle with syntax and words again and/or listen to the Vice President of the United States of America, Richard Cheney denigrate various American patriots for speaking their mind. The "deal" has already been closed, they're in office and they aren't leaving, this endless campaign for popularity serves no purpose and they have to accept that the majority of the American people aren’t going to like them no matter what they do.

We need them to say they are going to listen to other world leaders, that they are going to work with them, that they are going to encourage the Saudi leadership to become a constitutional democratic monarchy. Being President of the United States of American gotta be a cr*ppy job, someone has to do it and accept that it not about being liked.

Lenin once said, (and I’m paraphrasing) “We made history, these new guys, all they make is politics”……The President has to realize that it’s time to make history, not just politics.
