I am planning on building a 10" f/5 Dob over the next few months and am looking for some feedback on mirrors made by Normand Fullum. Does anyone have any comments on this matter ? This will be my first custom made mirror and I guess I'd like to hear some thoughts . Thanks to all

Pyrex vs Quartz diagonal

I am in the final stretch to obtain all the components for my Lightholder 10" f6 primaried Dobson. But this last item has really kind of given me mixed decision. I have read as much as I could about both, but I would really appreciate some experianced advice on this. I purchased what I believe is a top primary so it only goes to think which diagonal is best suited to compliment the primary.Thank you all for any advice you may send my way. Allen

Edge Masking Primary

After doing a few nights of star testing and speaking to more experienced observers , I've come to the conclusion that my 10" F4 exhibits a turned edge. My question is how much should I mask down the diameter? Down to 9"? I was going to use a heavy black poster board close to the mirror face that would rest on the clips. Thanks for any thoughts on this. Allen

Nice to hear thoughts on the G.O. 8x42's. I had ordered a pair of 20 x 80 GO's and ended up sending them back in exchange for the 8x42 Classics.I am now anticipating their arrival in the next few weeks. Allen
