Hey guys,

Last night was decent seeing for my location in Raleigh, NC. (next to a Target..nice light pollution)I recently purchased a drive and a camera mount for my scope. First night out with them. Did not use the camera mount for this one though. Here is my new shot of mars...17 images stacked

This is a stack(registax)of 15 photos taken afocal with a 2.0 MP Sony Cybershot through 10mm/2x barlow. This is through a 130mm Orion Space probe on an EQ-2 mount.

I am curious if this is about as good as I can expect through this scope, or can I improve my shots in someway other than a new scope. Planning an upgrade but not probably for another year.

suggestions welcome...

This was Early Tuesday morning(like 1am). Images are still not a clear as I would like but maybe sharper detail is wishful thinking (afocal through a 130mm Orion Spaceprobe).

Every time I attempt to auto-stack my photos (currently of mars) in registax it drifts of the planet and I am having to align manually. Is there a way to stop this or will i just have to continue to stack manually?

Hey guys,

I am still working with my Sony cybershot 2MP digital through an Orion 130mm Spaceprobe. I am trying to get my hands on a laptop so I can use my webcam to see how much clearer I can get my images. But here is what I got last night.
