M63 core burn out

Hi All-
I'm not sure if this Forum is a "look what I did" or a "I need help" but I need some advice. Here is my image of M63 taken wC14 @f12 LLRGB 70:30:30:45 ST-8E all 5 min exposures.

Any advice on how to preserve the core? Any other advice?

Bad seeing. Clouds rolled in before I got to shoot the green channel so I sub. a Lum exposure. LLRGB 120:30:45. Still a work in progress

This is my first try at M20. Conditions were very hazy and I was unsure if I would get anything at all. The Blue channel was particularly weak. Taken with a C14 @f4.6 RRGB 60:20:20:30.

Comments, suggestions?

Hi All-
I've watched your processing advice and I thought I'd ask for some help. This is 5 20 min exposures with a C14 @f6.4 and a ST-8XE camera from my light polluted location. I am having problems with flats, always have. Can someone please see what they can do with this jpeg or give some advice? Lights for lightbox

What is the best choice for lights in a lightbox for flats? Either AC or DC sugggestions are welcome. The box is for my C14 so it is large. I have the box built but I'm looking for a better light solution.

Hi All-

I've been working on this for a couple days. Shot over the roof of neighbor's house with porch lights, about as low as I can shoot. Windy conditions also. Taken with a C14 @f12 90:10:10:10 was all I could salvage. Comments welcome...

Hi Jeff-
I have a question of exposure length with galxies. If you take a 10 min exposure and the core is burnt out can the core be saved by ddp? Or must you adjust the exposure length so core is not burnt out?

I too have a C14, but 1976 vintage. I don't seem to have too big a problem with mirror shift with the focus knob since I replaced the grease with Dow Vacuume grease.

Here is a shot (M63) I took with it on 4/3/02 ST-8E 12x5 min @f12
