I guess I'm going a little retro here, but here is a 200 frame stack of Jupiter shot with a Meade Electronic Eyepiece from a DVD I burned last April.

-Meade Electronic EP (an old analog NTSC format freebie camera that came with a $20 60mm closeout scope; the scope was useless; no barlow used)

-Meade 2080 (8" SCT)

-RCA DVD Recorder (a stand-alone home use dvd/dvr not connected to a PC)

-Post processing software: Registax, Roxio PhotoSuite 5, Cyberlink Power DVD (to capture images from the DVD)

on a 6" Criterion, afocal. NO COMPUTER OR OTHER EXTERNAL RECORDING DEVICE WAS PRESENT WHEN THIS WAS TAKEN! I know other methods are currently better, but I imagine that if someone tries this with a bigger scope that the results could be pretty interesting, and no hassling or exposing the laptop or other devices to the elements!

Tiny I know, consider this a user report of what happens when one uses his family camera for space tourism. Kodak Z730 w/4x optical zoom, afocally shot through 12.5mm Celestron EP and this time I used a 1980's era 8" Meade 2080 SCT.

Someone here had recently drawn my attention to the point that all I needed to do was get a shot of Neptune to have gotten all of the planets so here is TINY TINY Neptune taken tonight

I'm sorry that it's so small, but frankly I'm happy to have even found it; I had never tracked Neptune down before visually (which is how I find everything since my scopes aren't go-to.)

That makes ALL of our solar system's planets detected with the camera THAT MY WIFE BOUGHT for family pictures! :^) (And no external computer present to record either!)

Thanks to my wife for letting me use the camera (although she'll never see this, she's definitely the better half!) and for her putting up with what she calls my "other wife" (i.e. Astronomy) :^)
