The five (first-gen 4.8, 7, 9, 11, and 13) smoothies preceding it were all made in Japan. Not sure if any of the "second phase" T-1's (grip ring plus eye cup) were ever made there. If they weren't - then the earliest 20mm T2 was probably never made there either.

You might ask the good folks at TeleVue.

Since yesterday, I have attempted twice now to respond to a posted Ad and my inquiry - after hitting the Send button - has completely disappeared from view (and its copy never showed up in my Inbox). So I'm assuming that the person who posted the Ad never received it also.

Folks - is it me - or you?

Would appreciate some coaching on what I'm doing wrong.

I have a 1980 classic orange C-5 with no apparent anti-reflection coating that I can see. Still gives great images.

Billy, look at the bright side: Zero coatings effectively mean a cleaner corrector plate - as dew and pollen accumulation can be routinely dealt with - a little bit more aggressively.

Just don't forget to remove the fletching and those razor-sharp broadheads!

Seriously though - that's a clever use of an off-the-store-shelf solution to what is normally a "weighty" problem. I'm believe the dozen or so baffles in my 6" F/15 Fecker tube assembly add significantly to its weight. They're glued-in, and make it difficult to access the ota's center.

Would love to see photos of that one. A combination of a Jaegers objective and a Criterion mount perhaps? Of course, Cave manufactured the 6" Astrola refractor for a short while. These were often upgraded with "unbranded" Unitron Super Focusers to accommodate 2" oculars. My 6" long-focus Fecker is similarly equipped.

If the tube assembly were manufacture by Criterion, you would have a real limited-edition Classic. Mark, good luck on you quest!
