Nextimage CCD Mod

Has any one done a mod to the Celestron Neximage CCD
Newest model 93712? This mod creates a longer exposure time then the stock allows. Mod can be seen on the Astronomy Discussion Page web site.Thanks

Digital camera to Celestron 5i

I was wondering if there is a mount that I can use to connect my Cannon power shot g3 4.0 digatal to my Celestron 5i goto telescope , or do I have to mount it on a tripod and point it at the eyepiece? Do you focus it the same by just looking at the lcd screen . Thanks for your help.

LXD 75 Creep after beep and no download

I have been trying to fix a problem. Maybe you have some ideas. The
mount seems to creep after doing a star align. I took the dec motor
assy. off and cleaned the encoder wheel. this got rid of about 75 % of
the creep its alot slower now. I have the zip code 96743 entered for site. Is this ok. The
autostar wont let me upload any info yet.I have gone to weasners site and done all I can w/ no avail. Perhaps you might have an idea/ Thanks and Aloha

Starmaster Drive gear

I am rebuilding a 24" starmaster dob GoTO. It had a set of drive motors the dec motor drive wheel looks like a toothed grinder and makes contact with the wooden dec wheel It works sort of ok.

The alt motor has a splined drive wheel. The quadrent thats driven has velcro male that is driven by the splined wheel and it likes to slip sometimes.

Im changing it to a rubber wheel on the drive wheel and a stainless strip on the quad to engage it. any ideas??

Anyone do this before.

300 D for parts

Greg here on AM had recieved a email from a Joe Ramacciotti
that he had a 300d available as a parts camera. Im looking for one but cant find Joe here to email him.

Perhaps someone knows him or has a 300d for parts arround?

orion atlas EQ mount Manual

Is there a detailed book or a better manual than comes with this mount available?
I especially have difficulty in doing a 2 or 3 star alignment so as to do astrophotography
