Looking for a stepper motor with a 30:1 planetary gearbox that I can put on my homemade barn door mount.

I am hoping someone has built a barn door with a motor onit and can point me in the right direction.

This cat showed up one day on our back poarch and adopted the wife and I.

I could not think of a name for him right away.

It was the month of May, so I setup my 8 inch SCT to do a bit of DSI imaging from the front yard.

We live in the city, but close to some woods, so when I saw a shape sneak past my feet I was a bit concerned. I shined my red light down at the critter and found out it was our newly adopted cat. His name quickly became Astro, and each time I go out to the front yard for a few minutes of observing, he joins me.

My Meade LX 200 GPS is having some electronic problems, and the wife is considering letting me get a new scope

I am thinking about Celestron. I read in one of the astronomy magazines a review of one, in which they stated that the scope had a built in dew heater, but I don't remember which scope they reviewed.

I can't find the magazine in which the article appeared.

Can anyone shed some light as to which scope has a built in dew heater, and is this a good idea (getting one with the built in heaters)??

I had the same problem with getting my eyepieces to come to focus when I installed a new focuser on my Dob. I have to use the 2 inch extension, kinda expensive, but it does the trick
