30" Obsession Stolen last night.
Rare Telescope Stolen -- Robert Price
There are only ten of them in the world.
Now the biggest telescope in south Texas is missing.
A cargo trailer housing the massive six-hundred-pound telescope was stolen from the North side home of Bryan Tobias Wednesday.
The local astronomer uses it for research and teaching young people.
He doubts the burglars even know what they have.
"It's of no value to them,” said Tobias. “It’s not like they can take it to a pawn shop and hock it or something because people just aren't going to know what it is."
This is the second time someone has stolen the telescope.
Tobias is offering a $2,000 reward for its return.
