I bought a used meade 90mm f-11 refractor achromat in a cell + focuser for 100 bucks a few years back. I finally got around to mounting it and it has terrible double images of the stars and does not want to focus. I have a feeling it was taken apart and put together wrong. I have tried changing the orientation of the lenses but it did not help.
It has two lenses; one convex one concave, and two very thin alum rings, for spacers.
Anybody have any suggestions
(other than tossing it out since its a meade POC)?!?
