2" focuser for Orion 80 ST scope

Posted By Chris Roten

Does anyone know if there is a 2" focuser available as a "drop in" for the st 80. I would love to replace the one that is on it now. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Orion's Starshoot Autoguider

Hi all, just wondering if anyone is using the orion autoguider with their setup? If you are, how are you liking it and how well and accurate is it doing?

Powering laptop in the field?

Posted By Chris Roten

I am going to order one of the orion autoguiders from anacortes tomorrow. I already have a decent laptop BUT will need to figure out the best and cheapest way to power it in the field..... Anyone have ideas or how to you supply power to your laptop at your darksite? Mine is an IBM Thinkpad I1300, ac adapter I have now is outputting 16v, 3.36a, I would like to power it for up to 8 hours if at all possible.

WOW, looks really good. I might just have to come for a few days. Should I go ahead and pre-register for camping now you think?

I have been holding off on getting either one until there was a winner. I figured eventually one would top the other and render it obselete. Glad I did wait.
