C8 controller information wanted

This is a drive corrector that was sold to me with an orange tube Celestron C8, labeled Sidereal Electronics. It has the inverter to drive from 12 VDC and also the oscillator to run from 120 VAC. After first use, an output transistor blew. After transistor and other part replacements, it works but does not get the proper output voltage (only about 40VAC).

Does anyone have more information on the box's circuit? A schematic or possible fixes would be most helpful.

PS I changed the output resistors to a lower value, and I now get the proper output voltage but I want to be sure this won't harm the other components.

Seems to work fine now.

Microfocuser for C8 orange tube

Is there a Feathertouch model (or something similar) that is compatible with an older (80s) Celestron C8 orange tube?
A couple of the websites with 8" SCT Feathertouch say they are not compatible with older orange tubes.

These are some extra parts that I am not sure what they are for. They came with an Orange tube C8. The piece with the lens (E) only fits in the piece that looks like a visual back (A) but has threads for a t-adapter. The lens part is the same diameter as the inner diameter of a 6" extender.
Is this some sort of focal reducer?

C8 AC motor replacement

I have more play than desired in my C8 motors- 120 VAC Synchron. C8 is late 70s/early 80s orange tube.

Does anyone have a good supplier and/or specs/part no. for replacement motors? Thanks!

Filter ID needed

I received a filter with my Orange tube C8 that has no marking or papers with it. It screws on the 2" back, and appears original (70s/80s).
I compared to a Lumicon Deep Sky, you can see the results in attached photo.

PST double stack- can it be used as normal PST?

I am thinking about getting a Coronado PST- not sure if I want to get the double stack or original PST.

Can the double stack be used as a regular PST (removing the extra filter)? Will it matter greatly for observing or imaging with respect to prominences that are better viewed closer to 1.0 A?

Also, are the double stacked PSTs available from vendors from the factory that way, or do they assemble them and sell them that way?

Moon behind clouds/haze

What is the trick to getting a moon photo with good detail, and the glowing haze with a DSLR?
Tried several settings but couldnt pin it down- only got a nice photo of the moon.
