I am restoring two old finder scopes and the crosshairs are broken out of both of them. Does anyone know where I can get some of this very small dia. wire. I know one can make them from spider web but I want to use something easier to work with. Thanx one and all!

On my 8x50 meade finder I can focus at distant objects with no trouble by turning the front lense in and out. But my rub is, the crosshair is out of focus to the point that it renders trying to use the crosshair for reference useless.
How does one get the crosshair in focus?
