How long does your classified ad stay up?

Posted By Robert Harris

Greetings. sorry if this has been covered elsewhere, but I could not find the answer to my own question in the terms of service or this forum's existing posts. When you place a new classified ad, how long does it stay active? I placed an ad a little over a week ago, and today I noticed it does not come up when I search the classifieds.

Thanks!

Looking for a decent observing site South of Houst

Posted By Robert Harris

...that is not Brazos Bend State Park, but I am looking for something in the general vicinity along the 288 corridor south of Houston. I hope this isn't too off topic, I thought there was a forum just for observing sites but I could not find it.

Thanks!

SCT collimation under adverse circumstances

Posted By Robert Harris

Greg,

Thank you for writing that!! I've struggled with collimating under bad seeing for years, now I think I can give it a shot.

I do disagree with one point: I would gladly preorder a SHEER GENIUS COLLIMATION DEVICE ™, you could make a "one size fits all" model, with notches at the proper radius for all common commercial SCT sizes smile

Not your usual XW20 vs 24 Pan Optic Comparison

Posted By Robert Harris

My XW20 is almost impossible to fog. My 26mm T5 Nagler is very difficult to fog as well, probably due to its large mass. Every one of my Vixen LVW's (5, 8, 13, and 22 mm) will fog in a matter of minutes, or if you just look at them funny. I keep them all in an unheated foam lined eyepiece box. This is in Houston, TX.
