International shipment of telescopes

Posted By Derek Kuhl

I was wondering if anyone has experience with shipping scopes internationally. What carrier did you use and were you able to insure it for the full value of the scope. I am looking at purchasing a refractor from a seller in Germany and an running into some difficulties in finding a carrier that will handle the shipment.

Thanks

Derek

Site is slow

Posted By Derek Kuhl

What ever you have done to the site has made page refreshes very slow. It is especially bad at the login screen and when changing tabs from classifieds to the auctions or the forums. It is so slow that it frequently times out on me. This has been happening or the last 3 days. It really makes using the site quite unfun.

For 40 minutes of exposure time, that is quite a deep and stunning image with great detail and pin point stars. That RH is sure another one of your gems. Thanks for posting and for creating such amazing optical instruments.
