Can anyone help me with a manual for MotorMax MounPosted By John Sadauskas |
A plea for help from the Asromart community...
I recently purchased used a Konus GEM from a classified on this site, but the seller no longer had the manual (not unusual). The mount is visually similar to the mounts supplied by Konus with their MotorMax 130HD (Konus #1796) or it may be model EQ-10 as supplied on Motormax 150HM (Konus #1798). I am sure that I could figure out how to set up and operate the mount, but I am giving it to my son to give him a start in astronomy. He lives quite some distance away and I will not be able to help him much.
I searched the web and the Konus website for a copy of a manual, but was unsuccessful.
I then emailed Konus to see if they could provide a replacement manual. I received a prompt reply and while very willing to help, they only have available a manual for a very different, older mount with only one motorized axis. Oddly, a manual that matches their current product seems to be unavailable from them.
I was surprised!
Since the manufacturer / exporter is unable to help, would anyone who frequents this forum be willing to make a copy of their manual for me?
