Looking to trade 8" and 11" Nextstars!

Posted By Dan Starr

Hey folks myself and another member here are looking to trade Nextstars. I was wondering if anyone can confirm that we wouldn't need to worry about shipping the tripods or wedges. Both wedges are the Celestron heavy duty one and on the Celestron website it lists the heavy duty wedge for use for both...nothing about the tripod there though that I could find.

Bummer we live more than a few hours apart but we are working on a face to face exchange too though...

Thanks in advance for the assistance!

Dan

edit...yes they are both GPS models by the way!

Need a little help

Posted By Dan Starr

Hi Bill,

I have an Olympus E3 (two actually), an E420, and have many of the past Olympus digital SLR's. As others have mentioned there are adapters out there...the Canon guys seem to love Olympus OM lenses!

You can also get an OM to 4/3rds (Olympus digital SLR) adapters. I have two by the way but only one OM lens. A three websites for you to check out...

The Olympus digital SLR's have a crop factor of 2X for 35mm, so your 24 mm on the OM1 will work as a 48 mm. Olympus digital also has the shortest distance so adapters exist to mount almost any brands "legacy" glass onto Olympus digital slrs. The crop factor can work for you or against you depending upon your desires!

Good luck...send me a note with any follow up questions.

My current Olympus kit (all lenses Olympus designed for Digital):

2 E3's
1 E420
35-100f2
12-60f2.8-4
50f2
25f3.5
50-200SWDf2.8-3.5
8 fisheye - with the crop factor its a not circular but fills the frame as a 16mm would in the past
STF-22 ringflash
3 FL50r wireless flash
EC20 - 2x tele-extender

and a few other parts I'm sure I'm missing!
