GOTO mount question

At my favorite viewing location I can't see polaris because trees are in the way. I don't yet have a GOTO mount, but if I did (say an Orion Sirius or the like), would it be able to track objects at high power if I don't perform a polar alignment?

Want opinions on lightweight, 2" wide field eypeic

I have an 8" f/6 reflector, an antique Meade. I'm upgrading to a 2" focuser, and plan to buy a few
2" eyepieces. I don't wear glasses. I'd like to hear about eyepeices *other than*
Televue, Meade, Celestron, William Optics. Lightweight is a key issue, no way will I consider a 48oz monster. Right now I'm considering Orion Q70's, and I just heard about Baader Hyperions. Any other suggestions?

what about astro-tech titan II eyepieces

dew on primary...help

I have an 8" f6 metal tube reflector, and on very cold nights I get moisture on the primary. Has anyone successfully used a dew-zapper or like product on a reflector?
