Data Sharing - Narrowband - M42

Posted By Ryan Uptmor

Hello fellow astrophotographers!

We at the DRO (Dead Rising Observatory) currently have the ability to shoot color and Ha. We are currently working on gathering a 2x2 mosaic of M42 in Ha utilizing an SBig 8300M, LX200 10" OTA @ f6.0. The total combined mosaic will be approximately 50'x70' in size (each indivual frame is ~30'x40' in size).

We would love to add OIII and SII data to the mosaic when complete, but do not have capability with the equipment that we have. Would anyone be interested in a 'data share' (swap raw data to assemble a final product)? Each Ha frame we are taking is 20 minutes long. Each stack currently is planned to have 13 frames included. There will be some additional shorter frames to help capture the center.

Thoughts?

Thanks, Ryan Uptmor
