Best image of Saturn I've done so farPosted By Bill Schlosser |
Used the following equipment:
- Celestron CGE Pro Mount on homemade pier
- Orion 180mm MAK-CASS Telescope w/Televue 2x Powermate (Total of F30)
- Celestron Skyris 618M Camera
- Orion 5 Position manual Filter Wheel
- Astrodon RGB Filters
Skies were probably the best I've seen in SE Michigan. Taken Saturday May 10th (Opposition)
3 - 2000 Frame Movies @ 120FPS, 1 movie through each filter.
Aligned, Stacked and Pre-Processed using Registax. Post Processing with GIMP
After posting the image on Twitter (@Starman_63) I was contacted by ABC News as they wanted to use it on Sunday's World News Tonight. Unfortunately the broadcast was preempted by the NBA game so my 15 minutes will have to wait some more.... 8)
