Hi. I am looking to buy a very good 2" eyepieces for my 9.25 SCT. I want a wide and flat field. I am considering TV Panoptics and TV 55mm plossl and the Tak 50mm LE. I know these are all good eyepieces but I am looking for advice from those of you who have experience with any one of them. I am also wondering about which eyepiece would have the best contrast--do the 50mm eyepieces have less contrast than the 27 or 35mm Panoptics? In general I really like the Tak eyepieces but it is $150 more than TV 55mm, is it justified? I appreciate any advice. Thanks, Gary

I have been reading reviews of the 35mm Pan. One review really loves them and another doesnt think much of them. I have never had a chance to use one but I am in the market. Any opinions? I have a C9.25 and a Pronto. What Im really looking for is a wide field and stars in focus edge to edge.

I am going to Hawaii in August with the Sky and Telescope tour. I'm wondering how many of those Southern constellations will I be able to see. Could I see as far down as the Crux?
