I have seen one of these on astromart not long ago on a beautiful older scope. looks like two finder brackets connected by a rod and a weight that can move back and forth. who makes such a unit? Any help? thanks for your time. ben

ben here in statesville nc. i build my 8" fl/7.5 with a newt software download. it allows one to plug in many values on just such a question. measure twice drill once. i don't have the adress of the website, but someone will. good luck. ben
