Does anyone know if the hole pattern around the primary is the same for a 1984 vintage C-11 as it is for a late 90s C-11? Ihave a newer C-11 OTA & am considering the purchase of an older fork-mount assy. but don't know if it wil "fit". Thanx!

I don't know if you care to spend the money but I'd recommend sending it back to Celestron and letting them do a professional job of cleaning it and get their suggestions for further cleanings/care by you. They will also insure that the optics are lined up correctly. I think it costs around $100.00, barring that, maybe there's a telescope dealer in your area that could do it for less.
