Information needed!!!!

Posted By Chris Roten

Hello everyone, I need a question answered. I just purchased an item here on astromart and received it today, it was stated in the ad as a Meade product. At first glance I knew it was homemade and made cheaply. He called it a Meade flex focus extension cable. I got to looking at this fellows feedback and he is selling the same item again and again. My question is this:: Would he not have to be a sponser to sell more than one item that he is making over and over?? Any info is greatly appreciated. I would just like to know. Thanks to all the replies.

Just bought a second hand C-8 and the secondary mirror is missing. I need to buy one, or if anybody has information as to where I can order one. It is a fastar C-8 with starbright coatings. It does have the mount on the corrector plate for the mirror, BUT no mirror or aligning screws. Anybody with ANY info on this mirror, PLEASE let me know. Thanks in advance.

Information on mount for BIG bino's

Posted By Chris Roten

Hello to all, I just acquired some binoculars that are 25x100. I honestly did not realize how big and heavy they were until they arrived today. I built a parallelogram mount while I was waiting for them to come out of metal and hardwood, but it is just not big enough. Has anyone built a heavy duty mount for some big bino's or anybody have some good suggestions on the best places to get something that would work. I had rather build my own but would be willing to purchase one if the price was right. Any pics you have of one you own or have built would point me in the right direction and as always greatly appreciated. Thanks again and take care

Dob equatorial platform

Posted By Chris Roten

Has anybody built one of the equatorial platforms for a dob. I have been looking at them on the internet and to be honest $950 is a little steep for me to spend for one of these. They look very interesting. Any responses is greatly appreciated. Take care

Wow!

Posted By Chris Roten

This has everything to do with equipment if you are in its path, I live in the North Carolina foothills and we have had 2 hits from hurricanes this year with 40-70mph winds and Flooding rains, last time we got over 16". I have to get my scopes into my basement in the safe room when this happens, my observatory was damanged last time. There is another one heading our way for next week unless it makes more of a turn, so in a way this does have a little to do with equipment, namely mine.
