LX200 Bases, casters, dollies, and buggy

Posted By Matt Gibbs

I just bought a lx200 12" setup. I have back disk problems so may not be able to lift the scope. I really don't like adding wheels to the bottom because it will add height and I am only 5'6". I seen a couple 2-wheelers that have been modified to go under 2 legs of tripod and strap around scope area. Any input or help would be great.

Posted By Matt Gibbs

I just bought a meade LX200 12" ACF scope. It already has a meade motofocus. I was looking at the eye-opener and or zero image microfocuser.

My question is if the scope already has a meade motofocus do I need a zero image microfocuser? Any upgraded diagnals?

using a zero image shift micro focuser with a mead

Posted By Matt Gibbs

May be a dumb question, but I bought a used lx200 12" scope which already has a meade electric focuser. Can I use a zero image shift micro focuser along with the meade electric focuser? Or is one better?

MEADE LX200 12" EMC HELP (NOT ALIGNING)

Posted By Matt Gibbs

ok i bought this lx200 12" ecm off a guy on ebay. I have several problems.

I put in my lat and log for my sight. i put in the current time. i then goto align and pick 2 star. it tells me to level base and hit enter. then when i select the star it doesnt move at all. The scope moves with the n,s,e,w buttons but not to align..

2nd problem, my meade handbox does not have a library. i have no planets or anything. This may be related to problem 1 not aligning.

please help!

also, the autostar box is way different then the autostar handboxes im used to seeing. It doesnt have arrows for moving scope it has n,s,e,w and the buttons are different. Maybe this handbox is wrong?
