All these bailouts are .....

Posted By Jeffrey Counsil

Only the rich are getting *any* of the actual bailout money. AIG and others get Billions, all of which are rich people and companies. All we get is the bill and a few bread crumbs along with a bunch of lies. The AIG fiasco is phony. The Dems intentionally left the "bonuses" in the deal and now are trying to act like they are "for the taxpayer". If they were, they would have never given AIG any of taxpayer money! Dodd and Obama are the 2 highest recipients of AIG campaign contributions and are just "rewarding" them with our money. It's so transparent it stinks.

Not all Dems or Reps, Libertarians, Greens, Inds, etc are bad. But most of the Dems and Reps are Cowards. So afraid to "lose votes" or be attacked by the Media, that they cower down to those that have big mouths just to keep their "job".
If they were the CEOs of corporations, their sorry asses would have been fired long ago for squandering their money. Politicians don't spent *their* money and don't give a damn. Leeches wanting handouts will always vote for those jerks that will hand other people's money to them with complete disregard for those they take the money from. They demonize those that work for a living so the leeches will feel justified in stealing it from them. The poor see their low income neighbor as "rich", the low income see the upper low income as "rich", they see the lower middle-class as "rich", the lower middle-class see the upper middle-class as "rich", and so on. So everyone that has a job is seen by someone as being "The Evil Rich" and feel justified in "bringing them down". "Tax the rich" you say! Where does it end? Why are the "real rich" getting all the bailout money? Why are the Unions and Govt. agencies getting most of the rest of the bailout money? To really stimulate the economy, why doesn't the Govt. write out a check for $17,000 to every *working* taxpayer in the U.S. instead of giving it to "corporate giants"?
Because they don't want the people to help themselves! They want us at *their* mercy. They want us dependent on *them*. They want the "glory" of saying "I can help you, just give *me* your money, and I'll give it to those that need it" The Govt. isn't my "savior".
It's all a power play to seize power from the people. They have a lot of people convinced that your neighbor that makes more money than you is evil, the oil companies are evil, that your incandescent lights are evil, your SUV is evil, and *you* are evil for thinking different. Wanna hear something I think is evil? Feinstein forbidding solar power in the Mojave desert! Yes! We need alternative energy, but yet they do not want it???? Think about it. They demonize oil, but yet do not allow solar in the best, most efficient places??? OMG, a tortoise might have some much needed *shade* in the desert! Again, they are demonizing something good so they can beat their chests in "victory". Just think of all the jobs, and stimulus, that are being LOST because of crap like this. And think of all those poor tortoises that are condemned to having no extra shade. Their survival rate just may increase with shade! And our survival rate just may increase with both the *clean* solar energy, and the *jobs* it creates. But what do the socialists care? All they want is *their* power over you.

What's the difference? They are both in business to take other people's money and are more than likely crooks.

Not hardly. And of all I said, this is the only "argument" you can come up with? Blame the private sector for all the Govt. spending? That is lame... Barney & Friends created this mess way back on the 90's. Just look at all those on the "Banking, and Finance Committees" and what they have done while being there. Yes, Barney has had his hands in the cookie jar since Clinton's time and has pretty much had "control" of everything related to it, and the housing industry (the lending part). Now take a look at who's getting all the money.. Yep, Barney's friends! But wait, it's not Barney's money he's giving to his friends, now is it? And when Bush, McCain, and a few others tried to get a handle on things, the Dems just threw a "Filibuster Party".. Or is your memory failing you? Are you so full of hatred of the free market system that you fail to see through the smoke -n- mirrors thrown up by these clowns? Do you hate the "rich" so much you want those that are not "of the party" to go down in flames? You don't seem to be touching on the fact that all your beloved "change" people are filthy rich! And the only thing that has changed is who is spending, and how much. The how much being in the trillions increase. The "Changers" have managed to outspend Bush's 8 years in only two months! Get a grip man! How much more are these jokers going to manage to spend in the remaining 3.7 years?

I said nothing about Bush being absolutely "blameless". And the first "bailout" was voted in by both parties. The Dems had control of Congress for the last 2 years of Bush's term. So the sorry excuse of "inherited" has no basis. But this all started way before Bush even ran for President. But the attempts by the Bush administration to thwart the oncoming financial crisis was stifled by the Dems (mostly) and the special interest groups. There were no "constitutional" protections of human rights violated. If the stupid Obama clowns would just get the hell out of the way and stop this idiotic spending spree, the people could heal themselves. But it's not just the Obama camp, it's the top-heavy Government as a whole. It's just that the current crop of clowns have no clue what they are doing. Omama has no clue what to say without a teleprompter. At least Bush, as bad as he was, was intelligent enough to answer questions without making up some excuse. And Bush wasn't on a "vacation" the 1st 100 days. Just because you don't know what he was doing doesn't mean he was doing "nothing".
It's so easy for people to use the catch phrase "we inherited", so are you saying there weren't any problems inherited from Clinton? Clinton tore down many of the regulations put in place by Reagan and Bush Sr. Many of which got the ball rolling in the downfall that is currently troubling us. You can't claim that all this happened just because of "Bush and the GOP" when it's so obvious that Barney & Friends screwed up and were helping their friends get rich. But again, it's not all on Barney's shoulders.

Had enough "change" yet?

Capitalizm/Capitalism (for old farts)

Probably. Sure, if one is in a Union, or holds an administrative govt. job, then their own micro-capitalizm is being nurtured by the govt.

Don, Luca, Mark, all anyone has to do is record (DVR, VCR) what any of the politicians say. Whether it be in FOX, ABC, CNN, etc. and play it back the next time they speak. The lies are so obvious a child could see them. All the infighting, the partisanship, is not between the Democrats and Republicans, it's between the Democrats and Progressives within the Democratic party (some progressives in the GOP too). When the Dems had a super majority, they couldn't agree on anything except to spend more money, and seize more of the Constitutional powers from the people. Not ONE GOP vote was needed on *anything*, yet they still blamed the GOP for "obstructing" their agenda. There is no "fight" between the Dems and Reps, it's a fight between the Progressives and the free people.
ANY politician who votes for *any* legislation that will result in the circumvention of The Constitution, and removes the people's right of choice, should be voted OUT! They LIED! They all have sworn an oath to uphold The Constitution, not destroy it. They are guilty of dereliction of duty and have no place in the U.S. Government. Some acts are actually treasonous. Both Dems and Reps are guilty. Some people need to learn the true history and stay away from Wikipedia. READ about the depression of 1920 and why it became, and how it ended. Read why the 1930's depression became the *great* depression, and why it was only "great" in the U.S.
Nobody is talking about "letting people die", or suddenly cutting off their "entitlements". It took 100 years for the "handout machine" to be built, and it will take a few years to dismantle it. The Govt. needs to back out of the business of "we the people", stop wildly spending, and cut taxes so the people can prosper, therefore being able to stand on their own two feet to afford their own health care (and so much more), then begin to phase out all the handouts people have become dependent on. The Constitution does not start out "we the government", it begins with We The People. And nowhere within it does it grant any power to the government to force anyone to pay for someone else. It does however allow for the opportunity for the people to prosper without restriction by the Feds. All men are created equal, but that does not guarantee all will end up equal. You choose your path in life, not have it dictated by the Feds, or anyone else.
The purpose of The Constitution is to protect We The People from the Government. Not protect the people from the people, and certainly not to protect the government from the people. What powers are left, is left up to the States, and We The People. Read the 10th right in The Bill of Rights. Those powers not granted to the Federal government, are delegated to The States, and The People. Nowhere is health care mentioned. It is not a "right", it is a privilege to *work* for.
If anyone would have taken the risk, their own investments, and built an insurance company (or any company), then became a millionaire, I would celebrate your success. After all, it is the American Spirit to succeed. And I have no "right" to have my hand in your pocket.

Hi Luca,

Do you need another example of cheating? Try the Slaughter Rule. It looks like the Nancy and company are attempting to pass the Senate Bill by "deeming" it has passed the House. No vote. Just say that it passed and coming up with a reconciliation bill to move to the Senate.

See what I mean. The cheating and lying continues.

Yes, and that "estimate" is by a pro "govt. run" universal health care group. There is just a bunch of keywords spun to make it sound like people are dying. If you actually read the whole article, you'll see that it is all guesswork, and no actual facts. They say "linked to" as if it were the cause. Just as a passenger in a car might be drunk, but they say "alcohol was involved" just for stats to push an agenda.
