Hi All,

Imaged this one last night in 15~20 knots winds with the Nikon 180mmED. It's great to be able to image when it's windy and not waste a clear night.

Image details are here:

My First image ever at F10 with my NexStar 11. This F10 thing and galaxies is a whole new ball game for me. A whole new learning curve. Overprocessed it a bit because I ran out at nigh at 6:17am. You can see a bit of the the daylight gradient on the right hand side .

M78 Wide Field

Posted By Jose Suro

Hi all,

I shot this one last Saturday night. I thought it might be a wash because my camera has developed a gradient problem and I had to spend hours removing it. But I think I was able to salvage it (most anyways).

Details on the website as usual:

M51 from this morning

My second shot ever at a galaxy with the NS11 in pretty good seeing. I finished imaging this shot a t 5:48am this morning and I processed it just now with the sun coming in thru the window on my monitor so I reserve the right to make changes smile.

OT: Revised Website

Posted By Jose Suro

Hi All,

For the first time in 2 years I've redone my website for over two weeks now in my spare time. The old website was not really geared for Astrophotography which is now my main interest. While I still have some old stuff to fix and some links are not active it is finally up and it should be a lot easier to navigate through the images. The main page is here:

http://web.tampabay.rr.com/jsuro/

Most OT of all is that I have included a Terrestial images section. All but three of the images were taken either at or within 5-minutes from my home. You can see that here:

http://web.tampabay.rr.com/jsuro/terr/terrestial.htm

Hope you like the new look.

OT: Close?

Posted By Jose Suro

Hi All,

Had my Nikon on my Borg this evening trying for some pelicans in flight and caught this sequence from about a mile away - they were maybe 4000 feet up. A bit out of focus because I was shooting for 200 yards. I would call this a close one. The small Cessna had to make an quick 60 degree down turn.

New Image - NGC 4631 The Whale Galaxy

Hi All,

I've been away from the boards for a while because my Dad passed away a couple of weeks ago and I just haven't had the time nor the inclination. I finally got my camera back and shot this series last night.

Details on the website as usual:
