Another Comet Neat

Posted By August R. Orlandi

Here are 2 more shots of Comet Neat taken
on 5-15-04.
Skies were 6 to 7 clouds moving in and out. With out the clouds it would have been around an 8.
The shot with a blue back ground was a 20 min.exposure and the other was a 30 min.
Film used was Provia 400,120 format not pushed.Pentax 6X7 camera with field flattener on a Astro-Physics 155mm.
These shots were manual guided as the comet movement was very little.
Comments welcome

NGC 6334 or Cat's Paw Nebula

Posted By August R. Orlandi

Here is a shot I took of NGC 6334 or the Cat's Paw Nebula on 6-14-04.
This shot was scanned with a Epson 3200 scanner it is a raw scan the only thing done to it was to resize it and crop in Photoshop.
The only reason for cropping it was the film was damage at the photo lab during developing.
The film used was Kodak E-200 it was exposed for 45 min.
Equipment used : AP 155mm telescope with
field flattener,Pentax 6X7 camera,AP 1200 mount.

M-27 or Dumbbell Nebula

Posted By August R. Orlandi

This shot of M-27 or Dumbbell Nebula was taken on 6-22-04. The moon was not quite 1st quarter and hadn't set yet( about an 1.5 hour away from setting when I took this)
This is the original scan with an Epson 3200 scanner the only thing done to the image was to crop it and down size the number of pixels.
This was the same roll as the Cat's Paw was from.
This was a 45 min exposure on Kodak E-200 film 120 format taken with :
AP 155mm telescope with field flattener.
Pentax 6X7 camera,AP 1200 mount.
Skies and seening were between 8.5 and 9.
