This is the best shot form the first session with my SAC7 and my Meade 178ED/APO. the drive wasn't working and it was partly cloudy. 1/3 sec at f9 I adjusted the contrast a little. What do you think?

I found M-79 Sat. night with my 10" SCT. All I could see was a fuzzy spot with an occasional sparkle. What should I be able to see, at what magnification? Thanks

The hyperlink photo below has 2 identical dolphins in it. It was used in a
case study on stress level at St. Mary's Hospital.

Look at both dolphins jumping out of the water. The dolphins are identical.
A closely monitored, scientific study revealed that in spite of the fact
that the dolphins are identical, a person under stress would find
differences in the two dolphins. If there are many differences found between
both dolphins, it means that the person is experiencing a great amount of
stress. Look at the photograph and if you find more than one or two
differences you may want to take a vacation.

lunar eclipse exposure

I am planning to shoot the eclipse on Oct. 27th with my 7” f9, prime focus on 35mm E-200. Does an exposure of 1/250th sound right? How much should I increase the exposure during total to get the orange color right?

I need a piece of 8” diameter x 48” long aluminum tubing for a refractor I am building. It has to be straight and round. Does anyone know where I can get a good tube? 8)
