There will be some who will say, "There were only xx xxx deaths from Covid.  The severe restrictions placed upon society worked well...."

And there will be others who will say, "There were only xx xxx deaths from Covid.  The severe restrictions placed upon society were unnecessary...."

The interesting thing is that neither of the above positions will be able to be definitively proven to be correct....

There were only X deaths because the virus was no more deadly than the flu....

or

There were only X deaths because social distancing and keeping stuff closed actually worked.....

I have no problem with laws that make it as difficult or inconvenient or time-consuming for someone to buy a gun or ammunition for the gun as it is to get an Amateur Radio License....or equally as expensive as annual car licenses....

I just don't see the problem.

Supplementary question for everyone.

If the Governor pointed out that all the science shows that transmission is significantly reduced when everyone is wearing a mask for both stopping you from getting infected  and for stopping you from infecting another person (note that you can be asymptomatic for up to 8 days...) , that it is, therefore, an excellent idea* to wear a mask when you are near other people would you wear a mask? Say at Costco or walking down Main Street where there are others....

*As opposed to an order?

How in the wide world of sports does George Floyd's "background" have anything at all to do with the way in which his life was ended????    

His hands were cuffed behind his back and he was lying on his stomach beside the police car.  What threat was he at that point?  What was he gonna do, get up and head-butt a police officer?   Run away?

If, when Floyd was in that prone position, the four cops felt he was still resisting, then they could have knelt on his hips and legs and handcuffed his ankles and hogtied him.

But that's not what they did....
