The real crisis-exploding growth in benefits.
In 20 years we could ELIMINATE THE ENTIRE FEDERAL GOV-EXCEPT FOR THOSE PARTS THAT PAY BENEFITS AND SERVICE DEBT-AND STILL HAVE A DEFICIT!

A Brit would be sentenced up to 60 years for this. When Obama does it for short-term political gain, it is called statesmanship.

Did his father share some misconceptions about the British Empire's record in Kenya? Returning the Churchil bust, talk of putting BP under his "boot," calling Sarkozy's France "our closest and best ally," and giving cds of his speeches as gifts isn't reassuring.

Incompetence

During a hearing yesterday Intelligence Director James Clapper sounded like an aging hippie with rose colored glasses and completely misread the situation with the Muslim Brotherhood. The White House quickly corrected him. A few weeks ago in a tv interview with other top security people he was completely unaware of a major set of terror arrests that made headlines the day before. The WH said he had not yet been briefed about the sweep and said he was "the consummate DNI." Did his politics or his ability get him this job? It is proof this position isn't needed.

Drill Everywhere

The rising oil prices will kill our economy. $120 will hurt us badly and it looks like it won't stop there. Now is the time for a smart president to drill, drill, everywhere. It doesn't require taxpayer dollars. The good jobs are desperately needed. Does Obama really believe green energy will spur the economy now? Oil, oil, natural gas, natural gas. This could be one of the biggest decisions in his presidency. Certainly a huge decision for our economy. If he sticks with his belief that gas should cost 5 and 6 dollars a gallon he shouldn't be anywhere near the oval office.
