I have recently acquired a new-in-box never seen first light AP Stowaway F7 as part of a large equipment trade. It is still in the original box and wrappings from AP and is from the last production run. Since this is a rare find, how much is this worth? I am more into larger Dobs and solar observation now-a-days and may be interested in selling for top dollar to finance some other equipment.

Thanks for the responses, however searching the Astromart Classifieds and the Auctions didn't provide much information. One of the sales was from four years ago and other sales were of the "make me an offer" type of sale in which the price is never disclosed. Therefore, it is not really possible to determine how much the scope sold for.

Just to put things in perspective, someone just paid $328,000 for a hat once worn by Babe Ruth. I got a free hat from Uncle Al for buying an eyepiece, and can order a nice new, sweat free Dog River Police Department hat for $18 (plus shipping). Oh, I also got a free hat from AP - maybe two.

If you want to talk foolish ways to spend absurd amounts of money, you are in the wrong arena. wink

Of course, the Babe Ruth hat is a "collectible," and, in at least some cases, particular telescopes have become collectible too. Odd, but that's the way it is.

Clear skies, Alan
