Hi Folks, here is something I did with my Traveler and a Canon 20Da. It has been a while since I used this scope for astrophotography (I use this as my primary visual scope) but the Traveler is a great for imaging. For field work it is small, light and compact and the focuser is absolutely rock solid. Mounted on a Mach1 it is a great match. Anyway, nothing technical about this, just in the "pretty picture" category.

That's a gorgeous picture. Not much light pollution where you shoot from.

Thanks All. It took me some time to realize that there was all that chocolate stuff below the nebula to image. Sadly sky pollution is starting to erode into the Blue Ridge Parkway. Oh well...

Wow, thanks for posting this, Ivan! Enormous field, superb color and detail and, dare I mention, no diffraction spikes. grin

I can also understand why this is your primary visual scope. There's something immensely satisfying about poking around the skies with a quality 4" apo.

Look at the image with your head tilted slightly to the right and it becomes a cosmic Easter basket, with young stars instead of eggs nestled in the bottom - the sensation of depth is striking.
