F6.3 reducer corrector

Does anybody use a reducer/corrector on their SCT for visual (non-AP) use? Why or why not? The reason I ask is I have a C8 coming that will have a F6.3 reducer/corrector as part of the package. I haven't used this accessory before.

I sometimes use the f/6.3 reducer-corrector for visual observing on both my C5+ and my CPC-800. It's main purpose for visual use is to provide a wider field of view. It also flattens the field, but I tend not to notice it so much.

For example, my 27 mm Panoptic on the 8" (2032 mm focal length) provides 75x magnification and a field of view of 54 arc minutes (nearly one degree). With the f/6.3 in place, the focal length becomes 1280 mm and the same eyepeice provides 47x magnification and a field of view of 86 arc minutes (1.4°).
