Will a C8 wedge fit on a Meade standard tripod

I need a new tripod for my C8 Wedge, the bolt holes in the wedge and the top of the meade standard tripod look the same, are they compatable?

Years ago they did (through the 1990's say)- cant speak for the newer tripods and wedges now though.
