The photos show my AR-6 before and after AstroZap dew shield. What a difference! These AstroZap aluminium shields are well made, light and allow you to use the Meade lens cover. I'm a lot happier with my scope now -- take note Meade!!

Everyone tells me the AR-6 is too big, bad color, etc. I keep reading the 5" is lighter and better. But I can't help thinking I want the 6" instead since I have a 3.1" now. The only thing I'm not sure of is the weight. Looks like you may have changed tripods? Since you have the 6, I'd sure like to know what you think of the 6" versus the 5" especially since it wouldn't be setup permanently.
