I am considering the purchase of a Rikaline 6010 GPS unit for my 8" LX200 classic. Any info on accuracy and use would be appreciated.

I think this unit is the same as the StarGPS some places sell for the Meade telescopes.
I have used the Star GPS on 2 scopes, an LX90 and a new LXD75. The GPS is very good at entering the correct time and your location precisely. Thats about all for the use of the unit. Once the controller has the date and time you can remove the GPS unit and pack it away until you set up or need to reallign again (due to power off).
I feel it is much better than entering it in the controller by hand. Especially if you do NOT set the scope up in the same place each time.
Make sure you download the most current software off the web and use that to install into the hand controler.
