:S Just traded an Amarter for his Magellan1 and US Dig. encoders.
question:
When I power up the Magellan, and place into Mode=
EL Enc = 00000
Az Enc = 00001
... should the encoders 'read out' on the display when I slighty turn them?? ... Why do they not??
Do I need to 1st 'set/align stars', or should not the 'El/Az Enc' mode engage the encoders?
I have this issue posted on Cloudy 'equip' forums.
My cable/wiring seems correct against a diagram posted there...
