Meade ETX-125 Premier questions

Good evening,

I purchased a Meade ETX-125 Premier for my Wife as a Christmas Present. I have two questions I’d like to run by the group and see if anyone has heard of any solutions.

1. The new Meade Red Dot finder “Dews up” very easy. Have you heard of a Dew Heater solution for this Red-dot finder other than a 12-volt blow dryer?
2. I also purchased the Meade Atomic Time Update Module. This came with a 3-4 feet of cable and no instructions on where this module should be mounted. Any idea where it needs to be mounted? Do you know if this is just an Antenna? If so, I’d think it would need to be mounted high on the scope.

Thanks!
Bill

Bill, I read a little about the Atomic module thing and I think you just need to hook it up and sync the time once every so often. the internal clock in the autostar is set (at the factory) to the same clock the atomic module gets its time from. I dont think you need it for an entire night of observing, but I could be wrong.

I know there are dew heaters for telrads and such, maybe you could rig one of those to work on the red dot finder.
