Need info on 10" Quartz SCT

A new friend found the scope at a garage sale without the cables or hand controller and they don't show up on Meade's site. He's a newbie and could use a manual to start, then a few pieces of equipment--he has the eyepieces, etc. Can anyone point me/him in the right direction?

Here are several manuals that can be downloaded from the Meade website. http://www.meade.com/software-manuals/telescope-manuals/lx-series ,,,,,, I would imagine that it is the classic lx200. But you would know more about it than me.

Also Robert, he could try joining the sct groups on yahoo and they may have a solution and spare parts.
