Tuthill Star Trap drive

Hello. I recently acquired a C-8 with a "Tuthill Star Trap" drive. I have absolutely no documentation on this thing (the electronic drive) and I am hoping someone out there might have a schematic or operating and setup instructions for it. The drive will not power up with 110vac power applied which leads me to believe the ac/dc power supply is dead (possibly dried out capacitors). I'm going to attempt to power it with an external 12 v dc supply. Any help or website suggestions would be appreciated. I've done a Google search on everything "Tuthill" (including Roger W. Tuthill) and come up empty.

Thanks,

Roger tuthill was one of the leading retailers of astro stuff from the 60's through the late 90's - he was a real inovator of lots of things we take for granted on today's scopes - and a few odd ones that didn't "catch on". He died a few years back and his Wife kept the biz going with inventory till this year. I noticed they liquidated the inventory on "*-Bay" and have shut down the tuthill web site. Shame 'cause there were lots of good "history" there.

The "Star Trap" was, I believe, tuthills replacement DC drive for the stock older c-8 AC dirve. Probably just a dead rechargable battery.
