Hi Folks,

I have been using EM-200 for a year now and it has become my favorite mount. Only thing that I would like to have better is the wooden tripod that came with. Don’t get me wrong. It IS a very nice and stable tripod but I wanted mine more stable and heavier.

A few weeks ago, I had an opportunity to see and exam the EM-400 heavy duty Metal Tripod. This EM-400 metal tripod is possibly the most stable and cleanest looking tripod that I have used. Since I have no reason to upgrade my EM-200 to heavier mount although my astrophography setup is really close to the maximum load, I decided to make my EM-200 work on the heavy duty metal tripod.

Unfortunately, there is no one out there made this available. After a few emails and some information from a couple of other fellow amateur astronomers, I decided to take the plunge. I ended up making a few of more these adapters for those who want to make their EM-200 mount to work with EM-400 Metal Tripod. Let me know if you think you can use one.

Thanks
