Anyone know whether there is a hand controller available to make the Tak EM-200/Temma 2 system operate in a go-to mode or as digital setting circles without having to use a PC to control the telescope?

Yes,
There is a Tak hand controller. I bought one for my EM-10. Search at the buytelescopes.com web site. It's not cheap though ($595), and not as sophicated as some of the other things out there (like the Gemini or AP). It's built like a tank, though. Kind of has a military look to it.
