I'm thinking of installing the Sky Tour on my Gibraltar tripod with NP-101. Would some of you users comment on your experience with the Sky Tour. Satisfaction with unit? Difficulty of installation?
Similar units that might be better or less expensive, etc.

I agree with Edward. I got my Sky Tour 2 years ago and it's significantly increased both my observing time and the variety of objects I look at, and I've barely explored probably a tenth of the data base. It also is a great aid in finding objects at high power.

Easy to install on the Gibraltar. The encorders press fit in place and the computer easily plugs into them. I got the computer caddy plate that attaches to the eyepiece caddy, and it works fine.
