Description
The huge supernova remnant, Sharpless 2-240. Taken with Nikon 400mm lens, STL11K camera, Barr Associates 4nm filter, 13 hours exposure, 30 minute subframes. The positive image shows the filaments as the edges of nearly transparent shells of gas--like a giant complex soap bubble. Processing in Maxim.
