Description
M38 is the large open cluster in Auriga. This image show M38 on the left, and to its right is the smaller cluster NGC 1857. Imaged on 1 Sep 2005 from SE Michigan. Nikon D70 prime to Vixen A80SS, 400mm, IDAS LPS filter. Exposed at 3 x 2 min, 3 x 4 min, ISO 800. GP-DX tracking, STV Autoguided. Processed with ImagesPlus 2.5 and Paint Shop Pro 9.01
